I agree. After all, the IPCC AR4 report predicted that we may witness an ice-free Arctic Ocean by the latter part of the 21st century. At present, it appears we'll see that much sooner.

That's the thing about predicting long-term future climate states. We could be wrong, seriously wrong, about the possible consequences. You keep opining that little bad WILL happen. Serious folks keep asserting that bad things CAN happen. So far, we've had ample evidence that our planet is warming (as shown by a host of indicators), and we just keep pumping ever more CO2 into our atmosphere. I've little reason to believe in Pollyanna outcomes.
