The Feste Award meant a lot to MichelReed, who was so well-liked that he was nominated several times.

When MichaelR finally won the Feste Award in 2008, he was very gratified but characteristically joked about it.

For all his humor, Michael derived a great deal of pleasure and pride in knowing that his friends on The Motley Fools valued him enough to vote him a Feste Award.

Since Michael died recently, let us remember him while nominating and voting for the Feste Award. Let's also remember his words, humorous but serious.

MichaelR in sepulchral tones: “Beware the transience of fame. It is fleeting and what was once regaled can turn to ashes. Time passes and with its passage fame lost like a ship’s wake that is smoothed by the tide.”

I would like to suggest that this award be renamed in honor of its most persistent self-promoter. "The MichaelRead Memorial Feste Award," perhaps? A "Michael" for short, maybe?

ThyPeace, has been thinking about this ever since Michael died.
