In my inital post, I simply had to estimate those numbers since they're hard to come by. But my guess (remember it's only a guess) was that labor was probably less than 10% of the average retail price of the vehicle. Does this sound reasonable to you? If not, why?

Yes, that sounds reasonable for direct labor, and given that it is a much higher percentage of the cost... rather than the retail price.
