In my opinion, and that's all it is, MSFT will surely take a hit from the rulings, which are very critical on many fronts. It looks like the breakup is a very possible remedy, although of course nobody knows at this point.

I have been rooting for the judge to order the breakup of MSFT. I believe the biggest thing going for MSFT is the incredible competitive corporate culture. That is what drove them to (in the judge's opinion) break the law. However, any organization can get complacent, or rely on tactics rather than products to compete, ect. I would prefer three hyper-competitive companies, which would be more free to enter new markets and would grow faster.
