In my opinion - the release of oil will be a non-issue. We just do not have enough to make a difference. My understanding is that the reserve is comprised mostly of "solid" crude. Good mostly for heating oil. "Light sweet" crude is what is used for gasoline. So the political aspect of this release are magnified. I also beleive the Feds trying to "price fix" oil is poor policy. I do beleive that most on Wall St understand all this. In addition, the uncertainty surrounding the entire oil picture seems to mean continued high costs.As far as the stock price vs oil price - I haven't a clue. If you research it and find out - please post.
