In the corporate earnings section of last Thursdays (8/31) Wall Street Journal it was reported that Casella's net income per share dropped from $0.18 to
$0.14. Apparently Wall Street doesn't like this.
The good news is that their Revenues went from $54.7 million to $156 million.
Depressing the earnings per share further was the fact that the Avg dil share rose from 16.5 million to 23.9 million.
Casella said that they were going to take their medicine up front as regards the down side of their recent acquisitions. I believe that they were true to their word.
Next quarter will be interesting.
Welcome to the board senortrbl. As an investor and fellow Vermonter, I share your bullish confidence in Casella.
