Hey fools

I've got an investing scenario for you and am curious to see how you would allocate the funds.

A 55 year old co-worker wants to invest 65,000 total.

25,000 of it that he'd want to withdraw in 1-5 years
40,000 of it to withdraw in 15-20 years

What type of account(s) and what investments would you allocate those funds into to be most effective on returns in those timeframes.

Feel free to suggest he rebalances how much he wants sooner rather than later. I believe he mentioned some of the 1-5 might go toward a house.

Thanks!
