This is my first foray into communicating with other Fools. I am in a situation where my dividend income is currently my only income. I am a member of Stock Advisor but find myself needing to invest approximately 20K in a manner that has me looking at growth/income stocks and MLP's that would generate at least 3.5%. I am considering purchasing some JNJ and have begun research into MMP. Obviously the higher the yield, the better my ability to pay bills and stay ahead of increased living expenses. At the present time reinvesting dividends is no longer an option.
Would like to hear some suggestions for where to put this particular sum of money. I have tended towards being invested in growth stocks in the past, but life has intervened!!
Suggestions?
Thanks in advance to all who respond.
