Indeed. I haven't been, but have been impressed by many photos. Perhaps my favorite Russian building (so far) is St. Basil's Cathedral, in Moscow:


Yes, it's scary how beautiful it is. I am just happy that the Stalin regime did not destroy it like they did 100's of other beautiful buildings during those terrible years. Russia is very cheap to travel to for the ruble is 27.5 to the dollar. When Communism fell in 1992 with Perestroika it was 1 to dollar, so as you can see things are not going well. It has stabilized with Putin in power but who knows how long that will last. I am planning on going there again in March after the Nokia annual meeting. It's just across the pond from Helsinki!
