According to the Web site BuyandHold.com, there are such things as "Index Shares" traded on the AMEX, such as the "Dow Jones DIAMONDS"(DIA)consisting of the largest 100 DJ companies. Supposedly you can buy and sell the "shares" just as if it was a company, but it's actually an index fund. Anybody out there have any experience with this? BuyandHold has excellent rates, but offers only a selection of stocks. I was thinking of buying some shares in this one, though they offer several others as well. Would appreciate any foolish input on the subject! THNX!
