"OK, here's your trivia question of the day - what's the fourth most populous country in the world? Let's see, there's China, India, the United States, and … and … most people don't know, but if you answered Indonesia, with 240 million people, you're right.

I lived in Asia for a few years and we traveled a lot - even now we often go back. Every time the topic of where we're going comes up I always vote for Indonesia. Even at my young age I loved the diversity. One might be in a tropical paradise setting in Bali, or on the world's most heavily trafficked streets in Jakarta - it is all interesting. But, always the real draw for me when I'm going anywhere is the food - if it's really great - like it is in Indonesia - I eventually find a way to go.

One of the best eating experiences is authentic Indonesian food at a local restaurant with Indonesian friends. Before starting everyone first washes their hands in nearby sinks. The group then gathers around a large table where dish after dish appears - there may be 20 different dishes on the table - it is communal style eating where everyone shares everything - and everyone eats with their right hand. It's easy and fun and it is kind of a bonding experience"

Indonesians tend to eat more communally, if you get away from the more western style restaurants in places like Jakarta. I personally like communal eating better.
