I understand that when the creator/owner removes money from a fixed annuity it is taxed on a last in/first out basis. Any withdrawal is taxed as ordinary income until withdrawals begin tapping the invested capital base.I understand that the heir of such an annuity owes income tax on it. Does the heir inherit the capital basis of the creator, or is the entire amount considered ordinary income? Thanks,John
