My wife recently inherited a home. Once the deed was finally transfered to her name, she placed it on the market and sold it in seven hours. My question is, is this considered capital gains? If so, what will be the tax rate? Perhaps it is considered part of the estate and therefore is not taxable unless the estate goes over the max limit.
