I am looking for some suggestions regarding funding a retirement. A dear friend of mine- is has no 401k with her employer. She has started an IRA. She is recently seperated, 43years of age, income is 30,000 and needs to start plannig for retirement.
Of course, the NY like planner is pushing her into variable annuities. She did give him 10,000 grand.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how she can fund her retirment without going the annuity route?
Thanks so much
Dv
