The two companies will work with retailers to protectintellectual property and branding without affecting flexibilityand ease of use for game players, Tornado said in a statement. Eidos, famous for its Tomb Raider heroine Lara Croft, is thelatest games software maker Tornado has brought into play as itseeks to take a lead in the downloadable games market. Tornado has recently announced digital distribution trialswith other key games makers such as Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS),Rage Software (LSE: RGE), Midas Interactive and GSP as well as EMI(LSE: EMI) and Virgin 1/8VA.UL 3/8 for downloading music.Rtr 02:47 12-04-00
