Interesting... are you saying that he carried the end of the Cell short but the end of Lisey long?That's exactly what I'm saying.I agree the the end of The Cell was abrupt... he left a lot of room for sequel work but it was obvious - his heart was not in the Cell... CASE IN POINT - the HARD cover version of The Cell contained the first chapter of Lisey. That usually doesn't happen until the paperback. In other words, what I think, The Cell paid the rent, Lisey's Story is what he wanted to write.King has more money than God... he doesn't write books to pay the rent anymore. ;~) That first chapter of "Lisey's Story" was previously in print. It was included in "New Beginnings", a book put out in 2005 to help with the Tsunami relief effort.
