Hello all,This is my first post on the Fool website! I'm a fairly new investor with a little over $15K in IRA and just over $10K invested. I understand the market has been climbing higher and higher since the recession and would appreciate some feedback on my current investing strategy. I strive to follow the mindset of, "When others are greedy be fearful; and when others are fearful be greedy." I perceive the current market to be of the "others are greedy" variety and am investing conservatively. I'm currently maintaining 40% of available funds in cash and investing the rest in a diverse mix of Stock Advisor recommendations. The logic behind the 40% cash is to take advantage of any "adjustments/downturns" in the market. Upon identifying a substantial downturn, I plan to take advantage of the prices of good companies being brought down by the market and invest heavily in my core stocks and a few other solid performers - bringing my total up to 95% invested. Thanks for the feedback.
