I live abroad and have received conflicting information regarding the deadline for contributions to my IRA account for 1998. Is it the end of the year or is it sometime in April? I would greatly appreciate help in this matter.

Good Luck to All

For US citizens, regardless of if you reside in the US or if you reside abroad, you have until the due date of your tax return (NOT including extensions) in which to make your IRA contribution. For 99.9% of the population, that would make it April 15, 1999 in order to make an IRA contribution effective for 1998.

Hope this helps...
