Employee or contractor status depends on all of the facts surrounding the services provided and the conditions under which they are provided.

How would I determine this status? As I understand it, the nurse is employed by DW's employer. Other docs in the same practice may pay the nurse to do the same thing for them. It is voluntary on DW's part as to whether to take the calls herself or pay a nurse who is willing to screen the calls.
