Just had a note from my lawyer (expensive, too} in which he finally caught up with the fact that some IRA custodians won't divest to a trust upon death of the owner but an individual must be named. My IRA custodian advised me about six months ago of this. Now the question becomes, how are the funds in an IRA go into a trust. This becomes more interesting when the MRD has begun. My man has no answer at the moment. Does anyone?
