is living deliberately different than LBYM, wondering cuz isnt LBYM living deliberately?

you are making a consious effort to not spend all your money right?

Um, actually I don't think this is what is meant by living deliberately at all, but I'll go ahead and work with your definition.

Living deliberately is much broader than LBYM. It's about more than just not spending money. It's about thinking, not just going through the motions. Actually, one could make a case that much of what you read on the LBYM board is "just going through the motions" and not really thinking about why you're doing (or not doing) such and such.

For instance, stealing office supplies or extra ketchup packets may be considered LBYM (after all, you're saving money!) but what about the broader implications, like the ethics of it? Also, sometimes it's more "deliberate" to spend more money. Something of better quality that will last longer might cost more, but the extra money spent will be worth it. Or perhaps you'd rather spend more on clothing you know isn't made with sweatshop labor. Or more on durable goods that are less harmful to the environment.

Living deliberately is thinking about your choices, not about spending the least amount of money you possibly can (that's called cheapness :-)).
