Is that his name? I watch his shenanigans once in a while... Lucky to still be alive!

My brother, 82. is a lot like him, a patchwork of 'fixes', all over... At the cabin, I grumped last year about the family room chairs being low, hard to get up from, so this past weekend, we go up and h'd fixed 'em! Added 4x4 6" extensions under them! Pressure treated, even! Solid! And a lot better, functionally...

Big differences, I'll toss stuff that fails, not him, for example, a little battery drill quit when the batteries wouldn't charge. Took it apart, wired in a couple transformers to get the amperage up, taped it all together, still using it... Me, I tossed out a 5 gallon bucket of the old 9.6v Makitas after trying to give them away... No power, no patience... Gone.. He has other corded drills, just liked the challenge of 'fixing' it...

Hmm, maybe heavy duty balloons?
