Is there a possibility that your hubby can stay home? That is what my SIL and her husband are doing. I understand that having the home business makes that more complicated...just wondering if it were an option at all.Well, this is part of the beauty of our business. My husband already stays home! For the past two years, I have worked outside the home as a way to help support a dream of both of ours to run our own farming business. He has stayed home -- on the farm -- although I wouldn't necessarily put it that he is a "stay-at-home-dad" mainly because he works a LOT out on the farm. It's just that his "office" happens to be a field that we can see from our back door. It's been great for our kids -- his two from his first marriage. The youngest is home-schooled by Grandma at the moment, and Dad is always a holler away. The oldest goes to the tiny K-12 school down the road, and when she walks up the driveway, Dad is there, and Grandma, usually. The only difference now will be that I will be there too! A lot of the success of me staying home depends on the success of our business. We've had three seasons to build it into a viable business. We have pretty strong projections for income -- it's just risky, you know.We keep telling ourselves that any job is risky, what with layoffs and unexpected changes in the economy. Still, the habit of having a big corporation issue a check for the same amount every other week is a hard habit to break.Fingers crossed! We'll keep you all updated. Clabber
