Is this actual name brand slurpees, or any slurpee-type frozen drink?
I'd guess it would be any kind of slurpee-type frozen drink. One of my co-workers just told me he has had migraines for years, and has taken just about every medication on the planet to combat them. Last week or so, however, he went home with a horrible one, and on the way home, remembered our receptionist's suggestion, stopped and got a slurpee and saltines. Now he swears by them. He thinks that it has something to do with the coldness hitting the roof of your mouth, going directly towards the top of your head, shrinking blood vessels or something like it would with an "ice cream" headache. Just kinda alleviates the pressure, I guess. Then the saltines just counteract the acid churning in the stomach.
I can see 7-11 now, with an advertising campaign much like Subway's Jared/diet campaign. "Clear your head, get a Slurpee!"
Something like that.
