Is your mom's heart is monitored by a cardiologist? You've probably mentioned this, but I don't recall. She doesn't see her cardiologist very often. Her GP has her come in every quarter to run her numbers, as she also has diabetes. Given that she's the only member of the family to have ever developed it, there is some speculation that the meds she takes for her angina raised her blood sugar and brought on the diabetes, but her doctor doesn't want to take her off the heart meds, so she just added metformin to her routine about 7-ish years ago.The trip up was uneventful. DD#1 and her brood got a late start, so they didn't make it in until around 2:00. I was in town by 10:30, so I got their storage unit reserved and then took Mom to lunch.BTW: any thoughts on meds for gout? Mom has a couple of finger joints that have been diagnosed. She took some sort of medicine that started with a c back when she had a flare up in one of her feet, but it didn't help much. We're trying to figure out what she might use instead.LWW
