It all depends on how Kaepernick does this week. The next game will probably solidify what coach will do. If Kaepernick learns from his mistakes (which were not that many for a young QB), he has a great game, he starts the next game. He does not play well and Smith is back as starter. Too bad Akers is having such a lousy season. They would have won both Rams games if he was playing like he did last year. IMO a more experienced Kaepernick has a better chance of taking them to and winning the big dance. Will he get that experience this year with the 9ers? Dunno.
