It bothers me because my sister in law (brother's wife) talks like that and it's a jealousy thing. Her parents have money and they buy her whatever she wants. I feel she crams it down my throat when she talks about her BMW, her leather furniture, her Waterford Chrystal - always calling it by name brand.
I can certainly be happy for someone who can afford nice things, but I am more impressed by those who have nice things and DON'T talk about it!
By the way, we live in a rental house in a golf course community while our house is being built. Houses here range from $200K townhomes to $2 million dollar homes - so it probably is a real Picasso! And yes, I made a big deal out of nothing!
