It depends on how long it has been since the accounts were "charged off". Bad accounts are removed from your credit report after 7 years. If you are getting close to that 7-year point, I don't see the point in paying them off. Instead, invest the money. That way, your money is working for YOU, not for them. After all, YOU are the one who has earned it!
