IT has been my experience in watching many people try to make a go of it in the AMWAY organization that for every one person that makes a lot of money 10 to 15 people lose their investment
Sounds better than the "real" businines route where after 5 years 90% of busineses fail loosing a lot more for the owner than a couple hundred dolars and some products.
They did have a garage full of products they couldn't sell. I suppose that a lifetime of shampoo and soap is some compensation for the loss
Not possible unless they want those products because, you see, Amway has a 100% money back gaurantee and every distributor and customer knows it. Its all over the litirature and products.
Before you go off on another religious triade consider my true point: Going into business for your self isn't to be taken lightly
You almost have to be religious in order to make any busines work. I not only have an Amway distributorship, I also own a dry cleaning pick up and delivery service busines (just started) and a wireless communications busines. I know you have to be as serious as a heart attack in order to have any sort of chance. As far as only having one supplier, have you checked out franchises lately?? If you did then you would know most franchises require that you get all your product from home office or approved vendors. No choice in the matter. So you see, when you start an Amway busines or one like it you must realize what it truly is in its basic form, a franchise. You get to use the name, products and services of the main company and in return you must follow that franchisors rules and regulations. Simple. Dont want the rules and regs, go it alone. Anyone can start there own network marketing company, (there were more than 800 started in 97 alone). If you think you can do better go for it. All I am saying is I get tired of hereing people bad mouth any company that is successful and has successful people within it. By the way, most people do NOT look at the failures when they investigate a busines. I dont. I look at the successeful people and ask them how they got there and what were their biggest obsicles. I learn from them. I can only learn one thing from a failure, Not to follow thier advice! Believe me, every successful person in network marketing has gone through what every failure in the busines has too, they just didnt let that failure stop them from succeeding.
As far as Busines insurance goes, All of my policies are with a local, Independant Agency. They had the best rates and service. I usualy find that the "mom and pop" opporation gives better service than the national company office. Check one out.
