It is customary to give a minimum two weeks notice.

If you are a manager with direct reports then a month notice is probably the right thing to do.

As noted in some prior posts .... too much notice can be detrimental
to the morale of the other employees. Although many may be unhappy about your departure, most will want to know as soon as possible who will replace you and how they will be affected by this staff change. It can be torment waiting too long for the imminent change.
