It is difficult to say what may happen. As I understand it, now that the Statement of Facts is out, the DOJ and MSFT have a chance to work out some sort of settlement based on a common legal understanding of what has happened. The Judge in this case has a great deal of latitude or discretion. He could ban the Federal Govt. from using MSFT products, break up the company, etc. It is probably in the interest of MSFT to reach some sort of settlement before the Judge takes action. But nobody really knows what is going to happen. You will hear a lot of guesses and hypotheticals though.Ashby
