It is remarkably refreshing to see that Noto's call is having no apparent positive effect on the stock.

Well, his call was based in part on a "proprietary study," which as Mehran has noted is not trustworthy without knowing the methodology and biases of those performing the study . . . in fact, I've been waiting patiently for Mehran's attack on this unjustified bullish eBay call . . .

In addition, it could be that in fact his call is having an effect on the stock (just not positive), given that he calls for earnings of 11 cents a share during the current quarter. Logic dictates that stock in a company trading at what appears to be over 120 times anticipated coming year earnings, whose annualized growth rates are slowing to the under-50% range, would drop.
