It looks like the writer had a tear in his eyes when he penned that story of woe ;) Apple had to live through the insults and laughter when they released _________enter name of product that they panned.

Remember all of the pundits that wrote off the iPhone and the iPad? Remember when Ballmer scoffed at Apple's Closed system of iTunes, and even the payment system for developers?

I have no gripes at all about pundits lack of journalistic integrity in writing about new products or companies. I'm practically immune to them now ;) I do agree with an earlier column by the same author, in which he dismisses Windows RT immediately, and states it has no future. But in this article, he say to give Windows 8 a chance by writing good things about it, yet doesn't state anything about why.

Given the past few years of products and services killed off by Microsoft, I think pundits have reason to be wary of the apps in Windows 8. I have no doubt that if W8 ever becomes a successful business platform, the developers will love it, despite it's closed infrastructure owned by a company that seeks to collect revenue on it's store :)
