It made me think of something that my wife told me a few weeks ago. We have been in our local JCPenney and heard several times over the PA, something like "Mary Smith in Housewares . . .Congratulations." We wondered what it was about but let it slide.Then, one day, my wife was waiting in line and saw that it meant that someone had gotten an application for creditSo was "Mary Smith" the clerk who signed up the customer, or was she the customer?
