It may teach them one thing, but I think they end up keeping kids from learning in other subjects. The parenting classes in my high school had these things 10 years ago. I never took the classes that dealt with them, but the other teachers (and students) were pulling out their hair dealing with screaming "crack babies" in their classes. Most of the "parents" ended up spending most of their other classes out in the hall, dealing with their dolls. So for a week of school, they essentially learned nothing but how annoying a crack baby could be.
