It seems quite foolish to invest at 4.8% for 5 years unless there are rate-bump provisions. One has to pretty much be expecting a completely deflationary environment to think that interest rates this low aren't going to stoke up some serious inflationary forces.

But then again, with money market funds beaking the dollar peg, even cash-equivalents aren't looking so safe, and then there's that whole inflation things again.

Of course, there's gold, the yellow dog, the barbarous relic.
