It sounds like you are worried if you are a budding alcoholic?

Based upon what you've posted, you are not an alcoholic. Hypochrondiac, maybe. Alcoholic, no.

Getting drunk when you are troubled, depressed or have intractable problems is a normal reaction. Ditto for getting sick afterwards.

Now, if you were not getting sick after getting drunk, or if you were drinking in the absence of any kind of problems, but 'just because', then we could have been talking about something.

Alcoholism usually starts when:

1. When a person starts developing physioligical dependency on alcohol. You have not done so (or else you'd be sick before drinking not after).

2. When a person justifies their drinking. You are not doing so (just the opposite, in fact).

You might eventually discover a way to become an alcoholic without doing the 1 and/or the 2, but, for now, I doubt it. Relax and enjoy your aspirine.
