It wasn't even that much, about $25K I think. Half of that put me into another tax bracket, and this year's taxes will be the same. It cost me almost $3k in taxes each year. What a deal! It is a long term decision. Providing you don't take early withdrawls from the ROTH, all future withdrawls will be tax free. It could be a very good deal. You made a decision, and now have to handle the consequences. You do realize that only the amount in the higher bracket is taxed at the higher rate?
