I'm particularly glad that they were able to charter flights. I suspect those were for folks who were going to miss Ludington's graduation otherwise, though it doesn't say that in the article. It's been years since I last took the ferry across the lake. If you've never done it, it's worth the trip. Nothing else gives you a sense of just how enomrous Lake Michigan is.
