It's been my experience that the way kids handle finances if they have "rich" parents depends on how the parents attained their "riches" and how they manage their "riches.
If the parents became affluent as a result of hard work, risk taking, ingenuity etc. and don't spend money outrageously (ie. money doesn't grow on trees)and the kids observe this, they have a good chance of becoming well off themselves by adapting similar tactics. That assumes you've taught your kids good values and ensured that they put in the necessary effort to achieve their little successes.
