It's better to learn while your parents are still around rather than in college where you can dig your hole pretty deep and nobody's there to teach you what you're doing.To me, the bigger question is: are the parents who are doing this actually teaching their kids about finances or are they giving into their own materialistic whims?Unfortunately, I tend to believe the latter, based on the number of posters that I have seen often site their parents mismanagement as a background to their own problems.I also do not like the idea that parents are teaching their kids how to be in debt.Fred
