It's interesting that almost every investing website/company encourages people to get long-term care insurance. Even when they don't, themselves, sell it. I'm not sure why. First, many borkerage houses and investment companies are either owned by or themselves own insruance companies. Second, if they don't, then they almost certainly get a percentage of the upfront and continuing commissions/fees as their fee for referring the business. I hate to say it, but it's not easy to find an honest person in the financial services and/or products business. Where there's big money to be made, you can bet that big money will be there to make it.
