...I am insane. I just spent way more money than I ever thought possible on a sewing machine.

I am now the proud owner of a new Bernina 640E. It is The Last Sewing Machine I Will Ever Have to Buy (which is exactly what I said 15 (?) years ago when I bought my 1230). No embroidery module, no Stitch Regulator (too expensive and don't need them). Paid in cash, from selling extra "stuff" on ebay for the last year or so. All of the money went into my "it's time for a new sewing machine" fund.

My local sewing dealer has a once-a-year sale on March 17 every year, 30% off, and I went in to test drive the 640 earlier that week. Loved it immediately. I came in to pick it up on the 17th, and at least three 640's went out the door in the hour I was there.

Now, if I could just figure out how to turn on the thing...
