Do you agree with the Citizens United decision by the SCOTUS? If so, you're probably outraged by the IRS scandal. If not, you probably think the IRS did nothing wrong... because they were doing exactly what you wanted them to do: undermining the law of the land as decided by Citizens United

So either the IRS violated the First Amendment or this violation shouldn't be a violation.

FWIW I agreed whole-heartedly with the Citizens United decision, and am appalled by what the IRS is accused of doing. As such I'm a bit surprised by 0bama's stance on it (saying it was inexcusable and Americans should be angry)... he's basically selling out his defenders. But he's nothing if not an opportunist. Just like he pretended to be gun owners' best buddy after the Heller and McDonald decisions (where he was against it before he was for it) he's trying to calm down the Citizens United advocates. The only problem with that? We know damn well what his position on it is, and it isn't on the side of freedom (ie, pro Citizens United) so he's not going to get a pass on this anytime soon, if ever. Even his defenders have to admit he's calculated VERY badly on this score.
