It's rather surprising in even this general area, Sonoma County, CA, there are areas where even in town, broadband service just isn't available.. Coper lines are limited by distance, the now main service provider at&t isn't upgrading like they did where I am to move nodes further out from the SO at least, fiber to the curb is a dead plan, leaving Comcast the only other game in town. But they aren't everywhere either.. My DD is trying to do webinars from home, minimum is like 45 Mbs rate I think she said, she's on the fringe, gets about 41 mbs, so there will be dropouts, problems on her at&t line, so she's looking into Comcast, but they have limited service, too, they use DishTV satellite for their TV to get better coverage...

Add up all the needed services and a young family has difficulties...
