it's tricky separating the crazy from the not-so

Perhaps my sense of fairness is less developed than yours; but I feel no need to give someone the benefit of the doubt if they sufficiently tweak my loony-detector.

Yes, I'm sure I miss some good posts that way. And certainly people have come OUT of my p-box from time to time - I cheerfully admit I'm not always right.

I've no problems with civil dissent, and I read plenty of posters with whom I disagree - because they are CIVIL, and they argue the issues instead of playing semantic games or insulting whole swaths of the population.

But really, the folks under discussion here couldn't possibly be seen to be even remotely sincere about engaging in civil discourse here. I don't understand the need to keep engaging them.
