I've been getting the nag screen to upgrade to free AVG9. It says it needs to be done by Dec.1 because that is when support for lesser AVGs will cease. Has anyone upgraded and more importantly, have there been any problems?

I did upgrade from AVG8.5 Free to AVG9 Free some weeks ago and did post about my difficulties.

It was my experience that there was a conflict using Zone Alarm Free with AVG9 Free. On installing the upgrade AVG9 announced that it did not like ZA and I should remove it before installing the AVG upgrade.

I did so but then re-installed Zone Alarm.

I encountered conflict after conflict and many strange happenings on my computer.

Unfortunate as I really liked both AVG and ZA.

I finally resolved my problem by eliminating both ZA and AVG and installing Webroot Internet Security Essentials 2010.
