I've been thinking of RV too, hoping he went to one of his children's homes--I think they live in less flooded areas of New England.

While he lives on a ridge IIRC, he could be cut off by flooding and have no internet access. That happened to my son-in-law's parents in NJ--who still had no electricity as of last night and are dealing with leaks in a property they are selling. My SIL's sister, who lives in Princeton and just got electricity back yesterday, told another NJ story of a paramedic taking a patient from one hospital to another near Princeton, and having to take a 100-mile drive for 4 hrs instead of a 6-mile drive for a few minutes. Apparently Princeton is pretty much an island with a single causeway.
