I've been using Quicken 98, until last month, when I received unsolicited a free copy of Q2000 from Travelers Bank. I use their Mastercard in order to take advantage of downloading my credit card purchases directly into Quicken. I was advised it was necessary to upgrade as Travelers was using a new internet platform for the online connection. It was free, so I upgraded.
The format is radically different for Q98, so it's just a learning curve, but once you get used to it, the features are helpful.
However, if it weren't required by the credit card company for downloading changes, I wouldn't have made the change. Q98 met my every day needs.
