I've been using TaxAct-Online for the last several years. While they are constantly trying to get you to buy extra stuff, it is easy enough to just say 'No'. However, I have not tried to avoid the interview process completely and just use forms. But you can choose to fill in the forms as part of the overall process.

I've been very happy with it for several years. But I have a very simple tax situation.
